I'm a 20 year old (twice, but don't tell anyone) management consultant and career coach. I love the work I do, which I'm really grateful for, but it hasn’t always been that way. This is what inspired me to created the Akeno Adventure; to support others on their journey to a life of reduced stress and increased career confidence and satisfaction. Essentially helping people acheive happiness and fulfillment in their career.
As we have all done, I have worked in jobs and situations that didn’t make me happy. I’d have the feeling of dread on a Sunday evening, even on a saturday, thinking and worrying about the working week ahead. I worked alongside peers paid much more than me, I was held back by a lack of confidence of what to do about it. And when I did secure a new role and a better way of working, my fears would tell me that I wasn’t good enough to be there; I couldn’t win!
I worked on identifying and developing new techniques, to change my mindset and ways of working, which was life-changing. A solid foundation of self-worth underpins it all. This, coupled with practical actions, has enabled me to develop a career that genuinely makes me happy. I have retaken my weekends from the intrusive dread of mondays and I wake up excited to start my days. I have found fulfillment and love for my career, by helping you find yours!
I successfully completed the Self-Worth Academy’s coaching programme, and became a Certified Associate in 2019. In 2021 I became a Certified Associate of the Ikigai Academy, opening up my offering to anyone who might be struggling to identify the job that they are made for. My approach with clients is a blend of coaching, mentoring and practical guidance, to unlock the potential for a life, career or business venture that makes them truly happy.
Outside of work, I value and embrace my downtime. I enjoy travelling with my husband, and love everything about cars, motorbikes, and anything else with an engine! In fact, I’m known as a bit of a dare-devil! From cliff diving in Jamaica to parachuting over the British countryside, and even partaking in supercar track days, I enjoy activities that are full of adrenaline. I’m also a bookworm, and I love nothing more than getting lost in a good book whilst sitting in the sunshine!
In fact, the need for a work/life balance was a key reason why I transitioned my career and ways of working. It worked for me, and it could work for you too. I promise!
